Around 9000 Service Members Participated in BALTOPS 2024

A total of around 9,000 service members, over 50 naval vessels and approximately 85 flying units participated in BALTOPS 2024.

Press Release, The Hague, 26 June 2024: How do you counter hybrid threats in an amphibious setting? How do you deal with private armies and disinformation? These were among the questions addressed in scenarios completed over the past weeks during Baltic Operations 2024 (BALTOPS).

A total of around 9,000 service members, over 50 naval vessels and approximately 85 flying units participated in this major NATO exercise in the Baltic Sea. The Royal Netherlands Navy was represented by seven ships. The exercise was closely monitored by Russia.
